QUICK STEP CYCLING TEAM VERBRUGGHE WINS IN SUISSE

27 February 2005 – Rik Verbrugghe won today the G.P. of Lugano. The QUICK STEP rider beat at the end of a breakaway Patrice Halgand (Credit Agricole).

“I’m very happy for this win, it was necessary for me and my moral. The team trust in me and I repaid Patrick Lefevere and his staff. I hope that this victory could be the first of the season but not the last in a year that for me it will be very important to come back.”

For the 30 years old rider this is the first win of the season, the 14th of his career. For the QUICK STEP team this is the 4th wins of the season.
